Song of the Day: JJ - Ecstasy
The haunting third track from JJ’s 2009 debut album, No. 2. Released on Swedish label Sincerely Yours in July of that year, the album garnered a huge amount of positive buzz from critics, several of whom placed the album in front of Animal Collective’s Merriweather Post Pavilion as their pop album of the year. The follow up, inventively titled No. 3, will be available in March of this year. Plenty of time for you to get familiar.

Aaaaaand we’re back. After a little hiatus for the holidays (and the odd blizzard), we’re back around the podcasting table to discuss our favorites from 2009. We decided not to go for the traditional list format that abounds at this time of year, instead choosing to talk about three records each, in no particular order, that stuck out for us in 2009. It may get a tad long-winded at times, but we had a good two weeks’ worth of not talking to make up for. Let the gasbagathon begin.
